Credencial del Peregrino

This was the credencial I carried with me when I walked the English Route of the Camino de Santiago. At every cafe, albuergue, restaurant and church I stopped at along the way was another stamp that marked my journey.

Not only did it feel like an achievement at the time, but it is also one of the best documents to look back on. This weekend I will be looking back because the American Pilgrims on the Camino will be hosting a get together where peregrinos will reminisce about walking the way by sharing stories, music, and laughter.

Wouldn’t it be cool if the Appalachian Trail had credencials? Perhaps other great walks could as well.
