88 Days – Traveling and Getting Sick

If you travel enough, eventually you will get sick before, during, or after you travel. It is just a part of life. After traveling overland from Moscow, I got food poisoning in Shanghai that knocked me out for a couple days, where I just stayed in the hostel bed and slept. When I returned from Cuba, I was sick for several weeks as well. Thankfully, I haven’t often been sick at the start of the journey. With that said, there are many more options for travelers in the post-Covid era to slightly change plans. It may cost a little extra, but changing your timing is often a better decision than cancelling everything.

Phrase of the Day: 体がだるいです。karada ga darui desu. I feel under the weather.
